Season 1

101(1). Children of the Gods, Part 1 -- In the series pilot, General Hammond summons Colonel Jack O'Neill out of retirement when aliens emerge from the Stargate, kill the soldiers guarding it, and kidnap a female guard. In the aftermath of the attack, O'Neill confesses that he defied the order to destroy Abydos, and that Daniel Jackson is still alive.

102(2). Children of the Gods, Conclusion -- O'Neill and his crew learn that Daniel Jackson has discovered a map revealing the location of many more Stargates.

103(3). The Enemy Within -- Kawalsky (Jay Acovone), O'Neill's right-hand man, has been having terrible headaches caused by an alien Goa'uld larva that has attached itself to his brain. With guidance from Teal'c, the doctors operate to remove the alien, hoping to get it in time before Kawalsky falls completely under alien control.

104(4). Emancipation - On the planet Simarka, the SG-1 team meets the Shavadai, a race of people similar to the ancient Mongols of Earth, who operate by a strict code, which includes second-class status for women. Captain Carter is threatened with death on her first encounter with the Shavadai chief.

105(5). Broca Divide -- SG-1 travels to P3X-797 and discovers a world divided between a dark and light side, with a population similarly split between the Untouched (a Bronze Age people who seem almost like the Minoan civilization of Earth) and the Touched (heavy-browed primitives with limited skills).

106(6). The First Commandment -- The SG-1 team is sent through the Stargate after SG-9 is declared missing in action. They discover SG-9 leader Captain Jonas Hanson posing as a god, forcing the inhabitants of the planet to rebuild the giant Goa'uld temples and condemning disbelievers to death by radiation exposure.

107(7). Cold Lazarus -- The SG-1 team discovers a valley full of broken crystals. While alone, O'Neill finds an undamaged crystal with RED light emanating from it. Upon touching it, he is struck down and a duplicate O'Neill appears. The double returns home through the Stargate with the unsuspecting team.

108(8). The Nox -- Under government pressure to discover superior technologies, O'Neill and the team head to a planet Teal'c remembers, which has creatures called Fenri that possess the power of invisibility. They arrive to discover a Goa'uld hunting party, led by Apophis, is already there tracking the Fenri.

109(9). Brief Candle -- The team travels to Argos, where they find a civilization of beautiful, happy people who celebrate while the sun shines and mysteriously drop to sleep the minute that it sets. More mysteriously, they seem to age very rapidly -- a lifetime is 100 days -- an effect that O'Neill unwittingly inherits.

110(10). Thor's Hammer -- In search of allies in their battle against the Goa'uld, the SG-1 team travels to Cimmeria, home to the legendary Norse gods. But, Cimmeria has long ago been declared off-limits to Goa'ulds and when the team emerges from the Stargate, Teal'c is trapped in a mysterious beam of light.

111(11). Torment of Tantalus -- Dr. Jackson makes a remarkable discovery while viewing film footage of Stargate experiments done in 1945. It seems that the early team, led by Professor Langford, succeeded in getting the Stargate to work, and that one of them actually traveled through the gate, never to return.

112(12). Bloodlines -- The team finds out that Teal'c has a son Rya'c, who has reached the age at which he will receive his Goa'uld larva. Teal'c is determined to stop the process that would make his boy a servant for life. With a promise to return with a Goa'uld larva for study, the team heads through the Stargate.

113(13). Fire and Water - The SG-1 team returns from the planet Oannes in a panic -- and without Daniel Jackson, who was last seen being consumed by a column of flames. But, as his comrades mourn his death on Earth, Daniel is actually a captive of an amphibious humanoid creature known as Nem.

114(14). Hathor -- When archaeologists exploring a Mayan pyramid in Mexico find a sarcophagus covered in Egyptian hieroglyphics, they accidentally release Hathor, a Goa'uld who has taken on the persona of a powerful Egyptian goddess, awoken from a sleep that has lasted over a millennium.

115(15). Singularity -- The team travels to planet P8X-987, where they discover that a strange disease has wiped out everyone on the planet. Everyone that is, except a little girl named Cassandra (Katie Stuart) . As O'Neill and Teal'c remain on the planet to observe the black hole, Carter and Daniel return to Earth with the girl.

116(16). Cor-Al -- When SG-1 travels to P3X-1279, Teal'c recognizes it as Cartago, home to the Byrsa and one of the Goa'ulds' favorite places to harvest humans. Teal'c had come here when he was head Jaffa to Apophis. He is remembered by one of the Byrsa, who accuses Teal'c of killing his father.

117(17). Enigma -- The SG-1 team arrives on the planet Tollan to find a scene of chaos and death. A volcano is erupting, spewing choking ash and burning lava, and bodies litter the ground around the Stargate. They rescue a few survivors and return through the gate to Earth. They must then find a new home for this group of advanced human refugees before the Pentagon gets their hands on them.

118(18). Solitudes -- The Stargate malfunctions, and as a result, Teal'c and Daniel make it back to the SGC, but Jack and Sam find themselves trapped near a Stargate in an icy crevasse on an unknown planet. O'Neill is badly hurt, and Carter must try to dig the nearby gate device out of the ice and make it work.

119(19). Tin Man -- O'Neill and the SG-1 team arrive on P3X-989, only to be zapped by an electrical trap that renders them unconscious. When they awake, they find themselves in an underground lab with Harlan, a strange but apparently peaceful native of P3X-989 who claims to be 11,000 years old. Some of his SG-1 team members are transformed into robots while on a mission.

120(20). There but for the Grace of God -- While exploring an alien complex on P3R-233, a world that appears to have been destroyed by the Goa'uld, Daniel Jackson discovers a slab that, when activated, turns into a shimmering mirror. He touches the mirror and gets a mild jolt but thinks nothing of it until he finds himself in an alternate reality.

121(21). Politics -- Having escaped marauding Goa'ulds in another Earth reality (in There But For the Grace of God), Daniel Jackson warns that it is only a matter of time before they launch an attack. But, the Stargate program faces a more immediate threat from the Chairman of the Appropriations Committee. A powerful U.S. senator (Ronny Cox) who vows to shut down the Stargate project.

122(22). Within the Serpent's Grasp -- The Stargate is being shut down by the U.S. government, despite Daniel's warning of an imminent Goa'uld attack on Earth. The SG-1 team, armed to the teeth, defies orders to make an unauthorized trip through the Stargate to what they believe to be the origin of the attack and find themselves on a Goa'uld ship carrying Skaara (Alexis Cruz) (Part 1 of 2).

Season 2

201(23). Serpent's Lair -- As a fleet of Goa'uld warships heads towards Earth, the SGC prepares for the worst, sending the best and brightest of American society through the Stargate to another planet. Meanwhile, the SG-1 team have used the Stargate to board a ship commanded by Apophis' son Klorel. (Part 2 of 2).

202(24). In the Line of Duty -- SG-1 is on a mission to Nasya, hoping to rescue the survivors of an attack by the Goa'uld. During the rescue, Carter's body is taken over by a Goa'uld that was hiding in the body of a mortally injured Nasyan. Carter is confined to a cell, while O'Neill bargains with the Goa'uld for her life.

203(25). Prisoners -- While exploring a seemingly insignificant planet, the team finds a man who pleads for help. They try to defend him, only to discover that he is a fleeing murderer. By aiding him, they become complicit in his crime, and are sent to a penal world where brute strength and raw power rule.

204(26). Gamekeeper -- SG-1 travels to P7J-989, where they find a beautiful garden and a dome full of strange metallic chambers, each containing an unconscious person. While inspecting the chambers, they are trapped and knocked unconscious, and awaken to find they are reliving pivotal moments in their lives . The Keeper (Dwight Schultz).

205(27). Need -- While exploring planet P3R-636, SG-1 comes across a troop of Jaffa warriors and ceremonial priests delivering naquadah, an element treasured by the Goa'uld, through the Stargate. What catches Dr. Jackson's eye, however, is the beautiful Princess Shyla, daughter of the planet's ruler.

206(28). Thor's Chariot -- The team returns to Cimmeria after learning that the Goa'uld have invaded. The team feels responsible, since on their previous visit they destroyed "Thor's Hammer," the planet's main instrument of defense against the Goa'uld. Later, they make some remarkable discoveries.

207(29). Message in a Bottle -- While exploring a now dead planet, the SG-1 team find an orb that sends out electromagnetic signals. They think it is a time capsule of some sort and are intrigued by its power source, which seems to have lasted for millennia. They bring it back through the Stargate for further study.

208(30). Family -- Teal'c's mentor Bra'tac (Tony Amendola) arrives unexpectedly through the Stargate with shocking news: the Goa'uld Apophis survived the destruction of his ship and has now kidnapped Teal'c's son, Rya'c. O'Neill and the rest of the SG-1 team agree to join Teal'c as he returns to Chulak to rescue Rya'c.

209(31). Secrets -- Daniel and Teal'c travel back to Abydos, to fulfill the promise made to Sha're's father Kasuf. Daniel learns that his wife, whom he hasn't seen since she was taken by the Goa'uld, is nine months pregnant. The father is Apophis, who plans to use the baby as his new host.

210(32). Bane -- While exploring BP6-3Q1, O'Neill and the SG-1 team are attacked by giant insects. The team escapes through the Stargate, but not before Teal'c is stung. When Teal'c returns to Earth, a strange transformation begins, as the insect virus transforms Teal'c's DNA into something like its own.

211(33). Tok'ra, Part 1 -- Carter has a dream in which she sees through the eyes of Jolinar, a Tok'ra and rebel Goa'uld who inhabited her body before dying (in In the Line of Duty). Although her father Jacob is dying of cancer, Carter knows she must go on the mission with the rest of the SG-1 team to find the Tok'ra.

212(34). Tok'Ra, Part 2 -- The Tok'ra have turned down SG-1's request for an alliance against the Goa'uld because the people from Earth don't offer enough rewards to justify the security breach. And, the fact that none of the humans will act as host for Selmak, a Tok'ra whose host is dying, does little to build trust.

213(35). Spirits -- The SG-11 team has not returned from planet PXY-887, where they discovered an element, trinium, that is a hundred times lighter and stronger than steel. Instead, the inhabitants of the planet have fired an arrow made of trinium through the Stargate, which hits O'Neill.

214(36). Touchstone -- When a group posing as an SG team steals the climate-controlling Touchstone from the planet Madrona, the planet's weather deteriorates, threatening inhabitants with imminent death unless the device is recovered. Madrona's high priest Roham blames the SG-1 team for the theft.

215(37). The Fifth Race -- The team travels through the Stargate and finds a room filled with ancient alien inscriptions. When O'Neill peers through a viewer in the ancient room, he is caught in its grasp. Shortly after this imposed trance, alien words begin appearing in his speech.

216(38). A Matter of Time -- While attempting to save the members of SG-10 from a black hole on planet P3X-451, the team activates the Stargate and exposes themselves to the hole's gravitational pull. Trying to break free, they shut down the gate's power, and in the ensuing explosions Teal'c is badly injured.

217(39). Holiday -- While exploring a new planet, the SG-1 team stumbles upon the chamber of former Goa'uld enemy Ma'chello, and soon fall victim to his powerful body-swapping invention. Ma'chello takes on Daniel's body and the young archaeologist finds himself trapped in the body of an old and dying man.

218(40). The Serpent's Song -- Pursued by death gliders, former Goa'uld conqueror and sworn enemy of the SGC, Apophis, throws himself on the mercy of the team. Despite his past evil, SG-1 grants him sanctuary. Apophis, who has been tortured, promises all the knowledge of the Goa'uld in return for a new host body.

219(41). One False Step -- During a routine reconnaissance mission, the UAV plane crashes into a cactus-like plant on a planet inhabited by an unusual life form. Sent to recover the plane, the SG-1 team discovers those living on the planet are falling ill, and before long a plague of illness sweeps the race.

220(42). Show and Tell -- A young boy (Jeff Gulka)arrives at the SGC with his mother, a member of the invisible Reetou race. He says the Goa'uld destroyed their home planet, and now Reetou rebels intend to kill all humans. The rebels think that by killing all potential hosts for the Goa'uld, they will eliminate the Goa'uld themselves.

221(43). 1969 -- Because of a solar flare, the team is sent back in time to 1969, landing in a top-secret military facility. As the team is transported for interrogation, a young Lieutenant Hammond helps them escapeso they can find the Stargate before the only chance of leaving the past is gone forever.

222(44). Out of Mind -- Waking from what seems like cryogenic suspension, O'Neill finds himself in a futuristic version of the SGC. He is told that he has been frozen for 79 years, and the rest of the SG-1 team perished long ago. The doctors hook him to a device which turns his memories into holograms. (Part 1 of 2).

Season 3

301(45). Into the Fire -- Trapped on Hathor's planet, Carter and Daniel can only watch helplessly as Hathor (Suanne Braun) implants O'Neill with a Goa'uld symbiote. General Hammond sends Colonel Makepeace and six Stargate units to reclaim SG-1, but when the units are defeated, Hammond decides to do the job himself. (Part 2 of 2).

302(46). Seth -- Jacob Carter enlists the SG-1 team in his hunt for the ancient Goa'uld Lord Seth, whom he believes is hiding on Earth. A computer search reveals Seth has maintained power on Earth for thousands of years using false religion, and they trace him to a heavily armed compound in Washington state.

303(47). Fair Game -- Asgard leader, Thor, tells O'Neill that the Goa'uld System Lords plan to attack Earth, and offers help in negotiating a peace deal. Three System Lords attend the session, Yu, Nirrti, and Cronus. They initially agree to the Asgard's peace proposal, on the condition that Earth gives up the Stargate.

304(48). Legacy -- The legacy of Machello comes back to haunt the Stargate team. During a routine mission, the SG-1 team discovers corpses of a league of Goa'uld who challenged the System Lords. One is holding a tablet, and after Daniel touches it, he begins to hear voices and see nightmarish visions. Medical tests indicate that he is suffering from schizophrenia.

305(49). Learning Curve -- In the pursuit of knowledge, Jack O'Neill, Teal'c, and Daniel Jackson travel to the planet Orban as part of an exchange program. O'Neill and the rest of SG-1 soon discover that the children on this planet are used to acquire knowledge for the entire population, then discarded.

306(50). Point of View -- The SGC is taken aback when an alternate reality version of Samantha Carter and the deceased Major Kawalsky are found in top secret Area 51. To transport themselves to our reality, they used the quantum mirror (last seen in season one's There But For The Grace of God).

307(51). Dead Man Switch -- SG-1 travels to planet PJ6-877 for a routine exploration. Almost immediately, they are captured in an invisible force-field by alien bounty hunter, who is hunting a Goa'uld wanted by the evil System Lord Sokar. He attempts to solicit help from SG-1, in exchange for their freedom.

308(52). Demons -- SG-1 arrives at a medieval village and frees a young woman who has been left outside tied to a stake. Simon, friar of the village, explains that she is a sacrifice for a demon that plagues their village. The Canon chose her when he mistook her illness for evil possession.

309(53). Rules of Engagement -- Upon exiting the Stargate, SG-1 finds itself in the midst of battle. A group of SG soldiers battles a Jaffa army. Believing the soldiers to be the missing-in-action SG-11 team, O'Neill and the others provide assistance. Much to their surprise, the mystery SG team turns their weapons on SG-1.

310(54). Forever in a Day -- As SG-1 attempts a rescue of captured Abydonians, Daniel sees his long lost wife Sha're in a nearby tent. He follows her inside, where Sha're, who is actually the Goa'uld Amonet, takes Daniel in the grip of a ribbon device. Teal'c enters the tent with his staff weapon as Daniel falls unconscious.

311(55). Past and Present -- SG-1 travels to a planet whose inhabitants are suffering from mass retrograde amnesia. They have no memory of their lives, and report that their elders and children are missing. Their planet faces complete devastation unless the people's memories can be restored.

312(56). Jolinar's Memories -- The Tok'ra Martouf arrives at the SGC with troubling news: Carter's father, Jacob, and his Tok'ra symbiote Selmak, have been captured by the evil Goa'uld System Lord Sokar and imprisoned on a moon called Netu, which Sokar has transformed into a literal Hell. (Part 1 of 2).

313(57). The Devil You Know -- During an attempt to rescue Jacob Carter, SG-1 and Martouf are captured by Apophis, who is determined to use their information to overthrow Sokar. With Tok'ra memory technology and a hallucinogenic drug, each prisoner is forced to relive vivid, painful memories. (Part 2 of 2).

314(58). Foothold -- On their return from a mission, SG-1 learns that part of the SGC has been sealed off due to a chemical leak. Soon after, Dr. Fraiser injects each member of the team with a sedative, rendering them unconscious. Teal'c awakens to see Dr. Fraiser and General Hammond talking with two aliens.

315(59). Pretense -- The Tollan Narim pays an unexpected visit to the SGC, inviting the members of SG-1 to participate in "Triad." When SG-1 shows up on the new Tollan home world, they learn that the Triad is an ancient ceremony of justice, and the person on trial is their old friend Skaara.

316(60). Urgo -- SG-1 steps through the Stargate on their way to a paradise planet and end up back at the SGC. Adding to their confusion is Hammond's assertion that the team was gone for fifteen hours. An analysis of the MALP data reveals a brief initial image of an alien lab just before the paradise view.

317(61). A Hundred Days -- Colonel O'Neill and the rest of the SG-1 team have established ties with a small village on the planet Edora, and their leader Laira, with whom O'Neill shares a mutual and quiet attraction. Everyone gathers to watch the annual meteor shower referred to by the natives as "fire rain." A freak accident leaves Jack stranded on the planet with no way to return.

318(62). Shades of Grey -- SG-1 travels to Tollana to negotiate a trade. O'Neill becomes annoyed when the Tollans refuse to cooperate due to their fear that any weaponry given to Earth would likely be used on itself than against the Goa'uld. In an act that shocks the rest of his team, O'Neill steals a Tollan device.

319(63). New Ground -- The team travels to a planet where the planet's two cultures have been at war over their opposed beliefs regarding the Stargate. Upon their arrival, they are met by the curious Nyan, a scientist who explains that their arrival proves that the beliefs of his rival culture, the Optricans, is true.

320(64). Maternal Instinct -- Using the combined knowledge of Bra'tac, Daniel, and computer analysis, SG-1 finds the planet most likely to be "Kheb", of Jaffa and Goa'uld legend. Bra'tac and SG-1 travel to the planet in search of the Harsesis child, who Apophis fathered with Sha're/Amaunet, to find the child before Apophis.

321(65). Crystal Skull -- Jackson becomes intrigued when the video transmission from the MALP reveals a huge Mayan pyramid with a glowing crystal skull in its center. He tells the rest of SG-1 and Hammond that the skull appears to be identical to one his grandfather, Nicholas Ballard, found in Belize in 1971.

322(66). Nemesis -- O'Neill is suddenly transported aboard Thor's ship, where he is faced with hundreds of menacing looking metallic bugs. He learns from Thor that these bugs, called Replicators, are artificial organisms that have overtaken the ship and directed it toward Earth. (Part 1 of 2).

Season 4

401(67). Small Victories -- O'Neill, Carter and Teal'c return to Earth. Soon after, O'Neill and Teal'c must risk their lives to keep the Replicator bugs from gaining a foothold on Earth, and Carter goes to an Asgard planet to help Thor find a way to defeat the Replicators which are attacking an Asgard planet. Season 5

501(89). Enemies -- Carrying on from the last episode of Series 4 when SG-1 and Selmak/Carter had blown up most of Apophis and Her'ur's fleet. They are in their stolen Goa'uld mothership, having accidently ended up in a completely different galaxy roughly 125 years from Earth, having been carried there with the power of the exploding sun. Shortly after their arrival, Apophis' mothership arrives, also having escaped the blast from the super nova. This is the ship to which Tanith took Teal'c, who has been shot in the back with a staff weapon and is presumably dead.
The ship SG-1 are on is badly damaged and has no defenses, Apophis is about to attack them when all of a sudden another ship arrives and starts attacking Apophis! Apophis's ship seems deserted. SG-1 go over to see if they can salvage parts to repair their ship and they discover it's the Replicators who taken over Apophis ship! It's autodestruct is set so SG-1 get what they can and leave, quickly!
Then they get a message from a peltak ship and it's Teal'c! who is alive after all. They let him on board only to discover that Aphophis has affected his mind and he thinks he's still his First Prime and he brings Apophis and lots of Jaffa with him who take SG-1 and Selmak captive.
Can SG-1 escape both Apophis and the Replicators, get back home (125 light years away) and rescue Teal'c? You bet they can! (Part 2 of 2).

502(90). Threshold -- In this episode Bra'tacis brought back to help regain Teal'c mind. He conducts a Jaffa process called "The Rite of Masuraan", which literally means bringing a Jaffa warrior to the Threshold of Death and let him choose the path from there (using the "life flashes in front of your eyes" at the point of death). Teal'c is made to re-live several episodes from his past and we follow his journey to the point where he becomes Apophis's First Prime and re-live the moment where he realises that maybe Apophis isn't a god. Can Teal'c be brought back to his senses, JAck, Sam and Daniel sit at his side and help all they can.

503(91). Ascension -- After arriving on an alien planet doing a survey Sam passes out for no apparent reason. Back at base she's told to take it easy and when she gets home she finds she's brought a visitor with her, an alien. To start with no one else can see the alien and they all start to think Sam's gone gaga. The alien enventually takes human form because he's got a bit of a thing for her...Sean Patrick Flannery (Young Indianna Jones) is the lurve interest. Turns out the alien is part of a race that SG-1 have encountered before.
John de Lancie (Q from Star Trek) plays a new Pentagon influence who causes problems.

504(92). The Fifth Man -- Colonel O'Neill and Lieutenant Tyler are ambushed by Goa'uld forces and trapped behind enemy lins, fighting a faction under an unknown System Lord. Meanwhile the rest of SG-1 return through the gate to fetch help. The problem is that when they get back no one else knows who Lieutenant Tyler is!
Sam, Teal'c and Daniel are quarantined and General Hammond can't send anyone else back though the gate to rescue Jack in case they get infected with the "Lieutenant Tyler" syndrome. Colonel Simmons uses it as an excuse to question the rest of SG-1 and finds fault with General Hammonds running of the SGC. Is he in league with Senator Kinsey or is someone else pulling his strings? Either way he's got it in for Hammond and SGC.
Meanwhile on the planet Jack is looking after Tyler ("We don't leave our people behind")who was injured and they are bonding while fighting off the Jaffa, turns out Tyler is part of an alien race, and thanks to Dr Fraiser who finds evidence of alien chemicals, SG-1 are allowed to go back and rescue Jack and Tyler.

505(93). Red Sky -- SG-1 visit another world, Katal, which is peopled by an "Amish" type people. Troubl is to get to the planet they have overridden the safety protocols of the Stargate which means they go right through the world's sun, depositing some heavy elements there which affects the sun's reaction and causes and ecological disaster on the planet, turning the sky red. It was an accident but SG-1 feel responsible. The planet is protected by the Asgard and SG-1 go to see them to ask for help. Freyr (he's the norse god of sun and rain, and the patron of bountiful harvests) is the Asgard pretending to be their god and he let's them see the Asgard High Council, but they can't help as it would invalidate theProtected Planet's Treaty with the Goa'uld putting all protected worlds at risk, O'Neill is not a happy chappy!
True to form Carter comes up with a possible solution but the plans go awry after a bit of sabotage by one of the more narrow minded inhabitants of the planet. Can they save the planet from disaster?

506(94). The Rite of Passage -- Cassandra the little girl from Season 1 story Singularity is growing up. Dr Fraiser has apopted her but she's now evolving at a superfast rate and it's killing her. It turns out Nerti, the Goa'uld who used to rule her planet and who killed all there except for Cassandra, was experimenting on them to see if she could get them to evolve into "super-humans" Cassandra is getting attacks of uncontollable telekenisis while burning up with fever. SG-1 go back to her planet to see if they can find a cure and discover Nerti's laboratory, when they go back to SGC they take an unnoticed visitor with them! It's Nerti with her invisibility cloak, she's captured and offers to help Cassandra but only in exchange for release and some of Cassie's blood!
Dr Fraiser acts like a real mum and put's Cassie first.

507(95). Beast of Burden -- Daniel and SGC are studying the Unas Daniel befriended (last seen in season 4's The First Ones). They are learning their language and making friends with them. As they are remotely filming them they see some men come through the Stargate and take Chaka (the one Daniel captured) prisoner. Daniel feels it's his fault as he had taught him to trust humans and General Hammond lets SG-1 go through the gate to retrieve him. Once there they discover a race that have the Unas as slaves, using them as Beasts of Burden, and who will not acknowledge the fact that they have a language and culture. They want Chaka for "fresh blood" as their Unas have inbred so much they are going mad. They won't let SG-1 take Chaka back and they capture Daniel and O'Neill when they try to break the Unas out of prison, and they imprison them! It turns out that the humanoids were originally slaves of the Unas but when the Goa'uld stopped coming through the gate they managed to overpower and enslave them using the Goa'uld technology to control them. Carter and Teal'c try to free them and succeed but when they get to the gate Chaka won't g with them, wanting to stay and free the Unas on the planet. Have SG-1 started a war?

508(96). The Tomb -- SG-1 must reluctantly team up with a Russian unit, on an off-world mission to investigate the disappearance of a rogue Russian Stargate team led by Major Valentine Kirensky that went missing off world before they stopped using the gate. Dr. Jackson attempts to open the doorway to the inside of a Ziggurat structure, which is believed to be 3000 years old. They find and investigate a Babylonian crypt, meeting an ancient Babylonian god, Marduk, who turns out to be a particularly nasty Goa'uld. The team they have gone to rescue is dead and the Russians have their own agenda which threatens the lives of both teams.

509(97). Between Two Fires -- SG1 go to Tollana for the funeral of Omoc. Narim warns them that Omoc was concerned that Earth was in danger and when the Tollan suddenly seem more than willing to let Earth have access to it's superior technology after the death of Omoc (Series 1 Enigma)they start wondering why. It turns out that things are not what they seem and with Narim's help they get to the bottom of the mystery which involves a very powerful Goa'uld, and an old enemy of Teal'cs. Can they save both Earth and Tollana?

510(98). 2001 -- This is a sequel to the episode titled 2010 from season 4. SG-1 encounters a new world and a potential new ally in the war against the Goa'uld. It is a race of people introduced to SG-1 by the people of an agricultural world - the race is the Aschen! In 2010 Colonel O'Neill didn't give the name of the race just the home planet co-ordinates so when, by pewer of deduction as the Aschen wouldn't give their homeworld co-ordinates, SGC discover that their homeworld is most probably the one the future O'Neill told them to lock out of the computer alarm bells sound. SG-1 start investigating and Daniel and Teal'c discover an underground city which the people of the world don't know exists and they wonder how, in a couple of hundred the people of the world have gone from millions technologically as advanced as Earth to hundreds on an agricultural world, it can't be coincidence that it only happened AFTER the Aschen came on the scene. They manage to figure it out and save Earth, again, but Kinsey isn't pleased to have to forgo another powerful friend. (I thought it was neat the way they had Sam's husband of 2010 brought into the story)

511(99). Desperate Measures -- When Major Samantha Carter is abducted by mysterious men in black, General Hammond authorizes the rest of SG-1 to go and find her. They need the help of O'Neill's old nemesis Maybourne. Turns out Maybourne has sold a Goa'uld larva to a rich and powerful private individual. The Russian had captured a Jaffa warrior on their second mission which is where the larva came from, and some renegade Russian soldiers sold it to Maybourne. The man who buys the Gao'uld is dying and wants to use the healing properties of it to save himself which is why they capture Sam so they can see how she survived Jolinar. Maybourne helps them to track Major Carter to a hospital where dangerous experiments are being conducted, but things have moved along and the Goa'uld is implanted in the sick man. With the Goa'uld in charge he escapes, Jack finds him but he escapes again when someone shoots Jack in the back.

512(100). Wormhole X-treme -- SGC find a spaceship heading towards Earth and it's signature is that of the alien spaceship they've encountered before. Martin Lloyd (last seen in season 4's Point of No Return) pitches a script to a television studio, which reads suspiciously like the Stargate scenario. The Airforce let it go so they have "plausible deniability". Jack is sent to confront him to find out why the ship is coming to Earth. When he gets there he finds Marty has lost his memory again and he and "Murray" (Teal'c) work with MArty, Jack as the Airforce consultant on the show and "Murray" as a caterer, while Sam and Daniel do surveillance. Stargate SG-1's entire team of writers and producers worked together to pen this special 100th episode.

513(101). Proving Ground -- The SGC, once a month, has a program to train academy graduates where promising young officers are sent in teams to SGC and a different SG team puts them through their paces, giving them a feel for what they will be faced with when offworld. The idea is that the most promising ones get to join SGC (Do you think this is preparation for another team to replace SG-1 after season 6?) This time it's SG1's turn. One of the trainees is Cadet Hailey who we met in season 4 (Prodigy) when she was a cadet as well as 3 others. They feel that Col O'Neill is being particularily hard on them and they don't seem to be doing too well. Then disaster strikes, a foothold situation and the trainees are thrown in at the deep end with only Col O'Neill to trust, and possibly Major Carter - Daniel looks like he is the leader of the SGC "turned bad". Col O'Neill is injured and it's totally up to the trainees to try to destroy the device that is influencing SGC and close the gate. Can they do it in time or is it asking too much of them?

514(102). 48 Hours -- Disaster strikes when SG-1 go rushing through the Stargate to escape 100s of Jaffa but Teal'c delays his return to blow up Tanith's ship, which then crashes into the Stargate trapping Teal'c in transit. Sam theorises that Teal'c's "pattern" is trapped in the Stargate and that if they can somehow initialise it they can retrieve him. They can't use the gate to send anyone through or back as that would wipe Teal'cs pattern from the buffer, so they seal the iris inside the gate so no one can dial in. Col Simmons comes and tells them they only have 48hours to get Teal'c out, and brings with him a very annoying scientist who the Pentagon think is the top blocke on Stargate science (despite the fact he's never actually seen the gate before) and it's he who says after 48hours Teal'cs pattern will degrade (although he doesn't believe it's there at all). Daniel and Major Davies go to Russia to see if they can use the Russians gate to bring in the SGC teams that are off-world, and sed one to see if they can get help from one of their Allies (Tok'ra etc), and then they ask to use the Russians DHD - but the Russians want alot in return - can they reach an agreement to save Teal'c before the 48 hours are up? Meantime, Jack and Maybourne track down the Goa'uld that had been captured by Col Simmons in Desperate Measuresand try to find out if he knows how to get Teal'c out of the buffer.

515(103). Summit -- SG-1 and the Tok'ra learn that the remaining Goa'uld System Lords are negotiating an alliance, as someone is taking advantage of the places left by the System Lords SG-1 have killed and is attacking all the other System Lords. The Goa'uld taking advantage of the choas is Anubis, but no one knows that yet - just Osiris when Lord Zapacna recruits her to their cause. Zapacna knows where the Tok'ra are and send ships to bomb them. Meantime Dr. Jackson agrees to go in as a Goa'uld's most important human slave so he can use a Tok'ra weapon which kills the symbiot. He achieves this as the Tok'ra also supply him with some mind altering drug which they sythesised from the sample gained from the alien in The Fifth Man, which makes Yu (a System Lord they met in Series 3 Fair Game) think that Daniel is his slave. No other System Lord that knows Daniel will be there (SG1 have killed them all apart from Nerti who is persona non grata) so he will be safe. However, the best laid plans of mice and men - Osiris (Daniels ex-girlfriend Sarah) turns up, Daniel doesn't use the weapon and she recognises him. (Part 1 of 2).

516(104). Last Stand -- Daniel injects Sarah/Osiris with some of the mind altering drug and she thinks he's Yu's servant. Then Daniel talking to Selmak explains he can't use the Tok'ra weapon as he doesn't want to kill Sarah but Selmak convinces him it's the right thing to do. Daniel goes back to the conference but discovers that Osiris is working on behalf of another Goa'uld who is great and powerful - Anubis- he now can't use the weapon as if he kills all the System Lords then Anubis will be the greatest and it's worse having one Goa'uld in control than lots fighting for power. Daniel also finds out that Zapacna knows the location of the Tok'ra base and is going to attack it. Daniel tries to capture Osiris so the Tok'ra can take the Goa'uld out of Sarah but the plan misfires and Osiris ends up knifing Yu, and Daniel escapes and he and Selmak go to see if they can warn the Tok'ra.
Meanwhile the Tok'ra base is destroyed along with most of the Tok'ra, the young Lieutenant is badly injured blended with Lantesh who was the symbiot of Martouf, but who is himself not strong. Daniel and Selmak/Jacob go to rescue them but crash on the planet, and it's full of Jaffa, can they escape?

517(105). Fail Safe -- Earth finds itself threatened by something even larger than the Gou'ald when the team learns that an asteroid is on a collision course with the planet. Amazingly no one else has seen it and they concoct a bomb with Naquadah and an atomic warhead which they put on a Goa'uld cargo ship - one which had previously crashed and which they manage to fix up. When they get there though they discover it's full of Naquadah and it's all a Goa'uld trick to blow up Earth without appearing to break the treaty with the Asgard. With no luck getting help from the Tok'ra or Asgard, the team must put together a plan to solve the problem on their own.

518(106). The Warrior -- A charismatic Jaffa leader Ka'tano, tries to rally his people against the Goa'uld. Brat'ac and Teal'c think an alliance with Earth would benfit both sides. SG-1 go with weapons, medicines and food and offer an alliance but the more Jack sees of Ka'tano the more suspicious he becomes. Ka'tano was the first prime of Imothep and killed him, he seems to know no fear, teaches the Jaffa not to fight to survive but to die, and sends many on suicide missions. Jack thinks he just wants power for himself but Teal'c thinks he's great, they feel it is a cultural thing that Jack doesn't understand. When Ka'tano sends Teal'c on a mission he's unlikely to suceed at Jack says he wants none of it but before they can leave Teal'c returns, with disturbing news for all!

519(107). Menace -- SG-1 discovers a world that has been totally destroyed with just an android, a young girl Reese, left. They manage to give her a new power supply but she doesn;t seem to know she's an android and wants her father. She's very emotionally immature and Daniel befriends her. When the plaet is searched again they discover bits of Replicators and when Daniel goes to see Reese she says she's made him a present, a Replicator!! They try to contact the Asgard to let them know and they try to find out how to destroy them but she's not cooperating, says they're just toys. Turns out she made the Replicators as toys with the ability to replicate themselves but lost control of them. When faced with the truth that she was responsible for the death of her world she goes mad and the Replicators start attacking SGC. Can they persuade Reese to stop them and help them to destroy her toys?

520(108). The Sentinel -- SG9 are late back from a mission to Latonna, a planet that had been visited by Maybourne's NID squad when they were using the other Stargate to get technology for Earth at whatever cost. They are there to try to "build bridges".
SGC tries to make contact with SG9 and hear they are pinned down by Jaffa who are attacking the planet - trouble is that the planet is supposed to be protected by a device called The Sentinel which keeps the planet safe from enemies. Gen Hammond decided that Col Greeves and Lieutenant Kershaw must have done something to the device when they were on the planet. They are in prison for treason so he sends Jack to see if he can see what they did. They had taken the device apart but thought they had put it togeher correctly again. They want to go to the planet with SG1 to see if they can put right what they did.
SG1 go with SG3 and Kershaw and Greeves after first using a new type of UAV to spot and destroy the Jaffa guarding the gate. When they get there SG3 guard the gate while Sam, Daniel, Teal'c, Kershaw and Greeves go to find the device and fix it while Jack and the remaining member of SG9 go to visit Maroo, the leader of the Latonnas. While they are with Maroo Lord Zpar'ock, a System Lord, attacks the planet. Maroo cannot believe that The Sentinel won't work and protect them. Meanwhile it's taking a long time to get past the forcefield to get into The Sentinel device and Sam, Teal'c and the others are attacked by Jaffa.
Can Jack convince Maroo to evacuate the planet? Can Daniel, Kershaw and Greeves fix The Sentinel before the Jaffa overwhelm them? And just where does The Caretaker come into the equation?

521(109). Meridian -- This is the episode in which Dr Daniel Jackson dies! If you don't want to know how then read no further.
It starts off with SG-1 coming thorough the gate with Daniel having been exposed to a deadly dose of radiation. The world they were on Callonia is a world of the techological stage of 1940s America. They are at war with their neighbours and are looking for weapons to defend themselves. They found an Ancient Goa'uld temple and a new radioactive form of Naquadah - Naquadria - which they are experimenting with. The experiment goes wrong and the whole world in threatened with annihilation - but Daniel saves them. He was the only one of SG-1 in the room when it happens and to start off with the Callonians refuse to admit he saved them, instead blaming him for the accident. Jack is determined to get to the truth.
In the meantime, Daniel is getting worse, there is nothing Dr Fraiser can do for him and they can't get hold of what's left of the Tokr'a or the Asgard. Sam tries to use the Goa'uld healing device on him but makes it worse. Daniel is dying a very painful death. He drifts in and out of conciousness and sees Oma Desala (Mother Nature) whom he first met in series 3 Maternal Instinct where Daniel started his journey towards enlightenment - in the temple at Kheb. She tells him he can do this, he can get Ascention a moving on to a higher plane of existence but he has to believe in himself, and he also has to die, physically! All of SG-1 visit him and tell him how much they think of him and how important he is.
Meanwhile the true story comes out of Daniel's heroism because Jonas Quin (Corin Nemec) who was the ethical advisor to the High Minister (their President) on Callonia tells the truth, how Daniel warned them of the dangers of using Naquadria, how it blew up the Goa'uld 10,000 ago who was experimenting with it and how he was the only one brave enough to turn off the reaction when the experiment went wrong, at the cost of his life. Trouble is all his superiors can see is that the Naquadria makes a truly spectacular bomb! So Jonas comes to Earth with some Naquadria he stole as Jack had told him how the Sam believe the Naquadria can be used to create defense shields and space travel and he's disgusted with his leaders, and wants SGC to give him the defense technology to take back to his world when it's developed.
Jacob Carter/Selmac comes through the gate and tries to save Daniel with the healing device although he doesn't think he can cure him completely, and then Daniel has to make the decision, go with Oma Desala via Ascention or live life on Earth - he chooses to go and so he dies (or does he)!

522(110). Revelations -- The final episode of season 5.
It starts with some Goa'uld ships in orbit around a planet and Thor comes to scare them off but his weapons are ineffective against the Gao'uld's new shields. Meanwhile at SGC there has been no memorial for Daniels as they are not sure if he really is dead - as he Ascended. Jack, Sam and Teal'c are all mourning Danile in their own way - Jack's is to carry on as if nothing has happened! So they stay on active duty while they find a replacement for Daniel.
Freya (an Asgard) comes through the gate to ask them for help and to tell them Thor is dead. The planet Thor was protecting has a researcher on it in an underground facility who was doing some very important work, they have no free ships and want SG-1 to go in their cargo ship to rescue the scientist. Freya is also going to look at the android Reese (Menace to see if they can get any clues on how to beat the Replicators.
When SG-1 get to the planet they meet Heindall (voiced by Teryl Rothery) who tells them Thor is alive and on Osiris's ship. They manage to talk to Thor and he tells them that Anubis is coming to torture him for info. Jack and Teal'c go to resuce Thor, meanwhile Sam is trying to help them from beneath the planet while Heindall is preparing to evacuate. He tells them that his work is of vital imortance to the Asgard. It turns out the Asgard only reproduce by cloning and they are getting genetic degredation, so when Heindall discovers one of their original ancestors (who look remarkably like the aliens in Close Encounters!) it means they can use their genetic code to try to help the current Asgard race from extinction - hence it's importance.
Anubis arrives and implants Thor with a device which downloads his memory to the computer Jack and Teal'c try to rescue him but end up captured themselves. Thor manages to free them using his link to the ship's computer and Sam is helping from beneath the planet - but Osiris has now located the base and she and Heindall must leave. Sam refuses to go without the other 2 but can they all get off in time?

607(117). Shadow Play -- Jonas Quinn's people come to Earth to ask for aide in an impending war on their planet. SG-1 discovers that they are planning to use a weapon of mass destruction in a preemptive strike against their enemies, and must be stopped. Guest starring Dean Stockwell.

608(118). The Other Guys --During a seemingly normal archaeological expedition, the SG-1 team is captured by the Goa'uld. A pair of bumbling scientists decide to mount a rescue operation without permission from the SGC, even though they were ordered back to Earth. (Guest starring: Coombs (John Billingsley).

609(119). Allegiance -- On Earth's new offworld base, which has also become a refuge to the rebel Jaffa, a group of Tok'ra arrive after being attacked by the Goa'uld. Almost immediately, tensions arise between the Tok'ra and Jaffa, when it is discovered that someone has been murdering people in the camp.

610(120). The Cure -- A recently discovered alien world offers Earth a medicine with the power to cure any illness, but as Major Carter, Teal'c, and Jonas Quinn investigate events on the planet (with the assistance of the Tok'ra), they discover that the hidden price for this wonder drug may be too high to pay.

611(121). Prometheus, Part 1 -- (continues with UnNatural Selection) -- A news reporter threatens to expose a top-secret military project, but when SG-1 gives her a tour of the new X-303 space ship, they discover that she is a pawn in a much larger plot involving Colonel Simmons and Adrian Conrad. (Part 1 of 2).

612(122). UnNatural Selection, Part 2 -- (continuation from Prometheus) -- Thor need the SG-1 team reset the Asgard's time-dilation device that was supposed to create a time bubble around the Replicators' space slowing their time and giving the Asgards more time to figure out how to stop the Replicators. But not only didn't the device go off, the Replicators used it to speed up their own time and thus reach their next evolutionary stage. The Replicators have now taken human form (remember Reese from Menace), and plan to over take all humans and aliens. Carter during a mind-melded with one of them, Fifth, belives that said she has convinced him to help them in exchange for letting him come with them. The SG-1 team then tries to double-cross him. (Part 2 of 2).

613(123). Sight Unseen -- After returning from a desert planet with an artifact believed to be a product of the Ancients, personnel at the SGC begin to see strange creatures. It is up to Carter and Quinn to deactivate the strange device, while O'Neill tries to stop the spread of the effect outside of the base.

614(124). Smoke and Mirrors -- Upon his return from a vacation to Minnesota, O'Neill is charged with the murder of Senator Kinsey in Washington D.C. Meanwhile, on orders from Hammond, the rest of the team must uncover a government conspiracy in order to clear his name, with help from an unexpected source.

615(125). Paradise Lost -- While on the lam, Mayborne (Tom McBeath) touches base with Jack and convinces him that he knows the location of a possible alien weapons cache. Jack and the SG-1 team investigate, but can't work around the impenetrable entryway. Mayborne talks his way into helping out, but double-crosses Jack and leaps through an energized gate.

616(126). Metamorphosis -- SG-1 joins a Russian team in attempting to save a planet's inhabitants from strange Goa'uld experimentation.

617(127). Disclosure -- After General Hammond and the Pentagon are forced to reveal the existence of the Stargate to other world governments, they must defend the United States military's Stargate program.

618(128). Forsaken -- When the team finds a crashed ship on another world, their efforts to help the crew effect repairs is hindered by a group of aliens.

619(129). The Changeling -- Teal'c, with the questionable help of Daniel Jackson, must undertake a strange and personal journey that could alter his life, and the entire Jaffa race, forever.

620(130). Memento -- The team is forced to land on an alien world, where the local Stargate is their only chance of returning to Earth. However, the local government refuses to acknowledge their Stargate's existence.

621(131). Prophecy -- SG-1 gates to a planet where the people are mining naquadah for the Goa'uld Baal. Their leader, Ellori, asks the team's help to free his people from their oppression. As the team tries to help the locals do this, Jonas starts having strange visions.

622(132). Full Circle -- SG-1 must defend Skaara and the people of Abydos fom the Goa'uld once again when they learn that Anubis is about to attack.

Season 7

701(133). Fallen -- The SG-1 team discovers Daniel Jackson alive and living on an alien world, but he has no memory of who he is. Yu because of age and overuse of the sarcophagsus, is scrambling his brain cells. (Part 1 of 2).

702(134). Homecoming -- The team returns to Jonas' homeworld when they learn that the Goa'uld are after its naquadria. Jonas is Anubis's prisoner but they don't want to kill him, not just yet (possibly due to what we learned in "metamorphosis" on how Jonas has a different physiology).

703(135). Fragile Balance -- A young teenager arrives at the SGC and tries to enter using Col. O'Neill's pass card.He insists that he really is O'Neill and that he woke up young without knowing why. Grown-up Jack can't be found anywhere. As the young "Jack" tries to convince his SG-1 teammates that he really is the colonel, he reveals that in the season 6 episode, The Changling Teal'c and Bra'tac both lost their larval Goa'uld in an attack, and have now take a drug called tretonin. The young Jack is revealed to be a clone, and, like Charlie in season two's Show and Tell, his body is shutting down.

704(136). Orpheus -- Teal'c recovers from a wound sustained in his pouch, which should have killed him if he had a Goa'uld inside. The tretonin is healing him, but his behavior is strange; he feels he's failed as a Jaffa. Daniel is trying to deal with his (still) lacking memory of what happened while ascended. Daniel has a vision while in kel'no'rim with Teal'c. It's Daniel who sees Rya'c and Bra'tac in a slave labor camp. Daniel begins to feel guilty that he did not do anything to help while ascended. Through subsequent visions, Daniel is able to give SG-1 the lay of the land."There's a funny scene with Carter filling Daniel in on the sci-fi movies he's missed while ascended. Without mentioning it, she rips apart the plot holes in 'Signs.' If their weakness was water, why bother invading a planet that is two-thirds water, not to mention the rain?.

705(137). Revisions -- The team encounters a planet with a society that has lived for centuries within a computer-controlled environment within a bubble. Outside, the rest of the world is a toxic wasteland. O'Neill, Teal'c, Sam and Daniel meet the inhabitants, who live very simply (think medieval) but are all linked to the computer through little devices on their head. The inhabitants are friendly, and possibly quite willing to do some trading, so Daniel and Sam go off with a young married couple, while Jack and Teal'c stay with a father and his son. While Daniel discovers shocking evidence in the townfolks' library, the rest of SG1 realizes that the computer is altering the inhabitants memories, possibly to the point that the townsfolk could pose a threat to SG1.

706(138). Lifeboat -- When SG1 goes to a barren planet, they investigate an abandoned ship full of frozen bodies. The mission goes awry when Daniel's body is 'hijacked' by aliens whose own bodies are gone, but their personalities were stored in a databank.

707(139). Enemy Mine -- While on a survey of an abandoned naquadah mine on P3X-403 one of Colonel Edwards' men, one Lt. Ritter, goes missing. SG-1 arrives to help in the search, and Daniel finds evidence of Unas living on the planet. The Unas want the 'Umans' (ie humans) to leave their home alone. The humans want to mine the rich deposit of naquadah they have just discovered. Daniel calls in his old buddy, Chaka, to help him negotiate with the local Unas leader, who Daniel nicknames Iron Shirt for the Jaffa armor he wears. It's a tense situation and negotiations break down as an Unas is mistakenly killed by a soldier who believes he is about to be attacked.

708(140). Space Race -- SG1 has encountered a race which is pretty high tech, and like humans, wastes their technologies on such things as space races. However, SG1 has its own problems. Carter is involved in the race with a pilot named Eamonn. But, they've lost Teal'c, who apparently has been abducted. Something to do with the various alien races involved in corruption, conspiracies, greed.

709(141). Avenger 2.0 -- We'll see the return of SG-1-worshipping Felger from series 6, The Other Guys. Jay Felger still hero-worships SG-1, and believe he has an unspoken bond with his fellow warrior, Jack O'Neill. Felger and his assistant,Chloe, are working on a high-tech beam weapon that could be used as a weapon against the Goa'uld. Unfortunately, he's not making the headway he envisioned. Hammond has a timeframe he wants met, so to save his skin (and his job) Felger tells them he has a weapon - a computer virus a virus capable of infecting a specific gate and scrambling it's DHD, effectively shutting it down. His assistant is mortified. The 'Avenger' virus is nowhere near ready. When the virus is tested, it spreads rapidly throughout the gate network, shutting down the entire system.Teams are stranded off-world, a certain system lord is taking advantage of the situation to make a major power play. It's a race against time to restore the gate network before its too late. O'Neill and Teal'c are busy offworld negotiating with rebel Jaffa leaders, and Daniel is on a planet with another team, but the planet is experience seismic disturbances, yet all are stranded on the worlds while the gate network is shutdown. O'Neill is somewhat displeased and it's up to Carter to work with Felger to put things right.

710(142). Birthright -- Written by Christopher Judge
SG-1 gates to a world populated by female Jaffa. These women are in hiding from a Goa'uld named Moloc. Moloc has declared that all female Jaffa babies must be killed and only the males raised. In an effort to save their baby girls, Ishta, a temple priestess, and her handmaidens have been spiriting the girls off-world instead of killing them. However, when the girls reach puberty they require a symbiote to act as their immune system, and the only way they can get them is by killing other Jaffa. The women have been conducting raids against Moloc's male Jaffa to get the symbiotes they need. SG-1 offers them another solution in the form of tretonin (the drug Teal'c and Bra'tac are now using instead of having a sybiote -series 6 The Changeling). Ishta
jumps at the offer, but not all of her women are as eager to try the new drug or trust in strangers, and a power struggle ensues. Teal'c gets to have a bit of romance with Ishta, and Sam gets to take the lead because these female Jaffa are highly suspicious of male warriors."

711(143). Evolution Part 1 -- Daniel and several archeologists are taken hostage when they travel to the jungles of Honduras to find an ancient alien device. Meanwhile, Carter, Teal'c, Jacob and Bra'tac go off-world to try and determine where a nearly indestructible warrior came from. These warriors keep right on killing even after being shot repeatedly (think 'Terminator' here), and have already wiped out a number of minor Goa'uld. The fear is that they, Anubis's newest weapon, will eventually be sent after Earth or one of Earth's allies. (Part 1 of 2).

712(144). Evolution Part 2 -- Jack O'Neill and a former fellow soldier, Burke travel to the jungle to attempt a rescue of Daniel and the other archeologists. Sam, Jacob and Teal'c are going after the Warriors and Anubis. (Part 2 of 2.)

713(145). Grace -- Sam travels to retrieve the stranded Prometheus (last seen in Memento) where basically it was stranded off-world. On their way back to Earth, she and the crew run into a 'situation.' Because the naquadria is unstable, they have to do short spurts in and out of hyperspace to cool the naquadria drive. So it's while they're popping in and out of hyperspace that they end up in a situation where Carter is knocked out. Carter is knocked unconscious and, when she awakens, discovered the the ship is deserted and crew is missing with the the escape pods are gone and the ship is trapped in a strange nebula. Then she begins to see and experience these weird visions, if you will. So it's a race against time for her to try and bring the ship online and try and figure out what the heck are these visions that she's seeing.

714(146). Fallout -- The three countries on Jonas' homeworld have forged a tenative peace, formed a Joint Ruling Council and renamed the planet Langaria (apparently they all had different names for it before.) It isn't the easiest of alliances, though, and Daniel and General Hammond attempt to help them come to a consensus while Carter and Jonas work with Kianna to try to find a solution to the 'naquadria problem.' Meanwhile Jonas has fallen for Kianna, who turns out to be a Goa'uld,. since he's been home. Kianna claims to know how to save the planet, if they'll only let her. Instead of using a digger machine to create tunnels, he'd like to use the Tok'ra method of creating tunnels. ...

715(147). Chimera -- Samantha Carter begins a relationship with a detective, from whom she must hide her life at Stargate Command. Daniel comes face to face with the Goa'uld who has taken his former girlfriend as a host.

716(148). Death Knell -- Earth's secret offworld base is attacked by Anubis' forces, and Major Carter finds herself being hunted by the enemy. General Hammond and Jacob Carter make an unnerving discovery about the Earth-Tok'ra alliance.

717(149). Heroes Part 1 -- SG-3 is off-world at an abandoned naquadah mine. The team, consisting of Dixon, Wells, and Bosworth, pass the time away with idle chatter about families. Dixon is a family man already but Wells is expecting his first child. They come across the ruins of a city which appear to have been constructed by the Ancients, and find themselves under attack by a strange Gou'ald flying device.
During SG-3's debriefing, Hammond and SG-1 decide they should go back and retrieve the strange alien device. SG-1 will go in, with SG- 3 as backup. Things seem to go well, SG-1 returns home with the device, but then SG-3 is under attack by Jaffa, who shoot Wells. SG-1 goes to the rescue, accompanied by Dr. Fraiser.

718(150). Heroes Part 2 -- These scenes appear to be interspersed with new scenes of a Kinsey- driven investigation into the rescue mission and its tragic consequences. Kinsey sends an operative, Woolsey, to review Hammond's decision. The events of "Disclosure" are followed up in some degree in this episode. The bigwigs in the US government have sent in some filmmakers to do a procedural documentary on the SGC. A military liaison escorts the filmmakers, whose leader is determined to dig up "everything" he can on the star team of the SGC - namely, SG-1. O'Neill, being his charming self, is totally uncooperative, although he apparently cooperates giving them likes, dislikes, he's, typically O'Neill and so not really helpful . Carter and Fraiser are cooperative; Daniel is vague, and seemingly mulling over his past failures. The filmmakers get to see SG-1 in action as they go off-world in a rescue mission when another team is ambushed. Even Fraiser goes, as there are injuries. Something goes terribly wrong, and there are injuries and a casualty. The filmmakers, who weren't allowed to go off-world, hear that O'Neill was hit with a staff blast and Carter was very upset. The filmmakers then decide to track down the survivors of the ambush - and specifically Daniel, who had a camcorder with him and witnessed and inadvertently taped the death of a dear friend. The filmmaker gets his story, but at a high price. Also, a scene toward the end indicates that Daniel visits Wells at home, and Jack, recuperating from his own injuries, gets something special.

719(151). Resurrection -- O'Neill is still recovering from his injuries when the rest of SG-1 receive a call from Agent Barrett of the NID (Smoke and Mirrors series 6). They find a rogue NID cell (there are still many of them out there) where all but 1 staff member had been killed, 32 people. A girl called Anna is guilty and wants to be locked back up in her cell, which they do, she remembers nothing.
The one who survived was a German scientist, Keffler, whose father was a Nazi. They have artifacts from Sekmet, a female Goa'uld who served Ra. There are various artifacts including an ark.
Daniel talks to Anna and find the combination for the ark from her drawings, it is a bomb which is set to explode! Dr Lee and Teal'c try to turn it off and Daniel tries to make friends with Anna to see if she can help.
Sam and Barrett find Keffler very creepy and Sam gets into the database and discover they have genetically engineered Anna from Goa'uld DNA (Sekmet's) and human, a goa'uld/human hybrid, , and then grown her on, using stolen nanite technology to speed up her growth. They had tried various before they succeeded with her, the idea is to get the genetic memories of the goa'uld. They also discover she is only about 1year old and that Keffler had been torturing her.
She tries to help Daniel but is scared, turns out the goa'uld can take control sometimes, hence all the dead bodies. She will die, there is nothing they can do to save her as Keffler designed her that way, the goa'uld dna will take control eventually killing her, but he put a toxic bomb in the base of her skull so he could kill her by remote control when the time came!
Anna sets fire to her cell when the Goa'uld seems to take over as Daniel is helping her to meditate to see if she can find the shut off code for the bomb. She escapes when they put out the fire. She has left behind the code in a drawing though and Dr Lee and Teal'c turn it off. Daniel guesses she wasn't really controlled this time by the Goa'uld and he's right, she gets to Keffler and kills him as he is "more evil than anything I see in my head". She then kills herself with the remote, knowing they can't save her.

720(152). Inauguration -- We get to see the newly elected President Heyes when he is told about the Stargate programme by General Francis Maynard, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. As you can imagine he finds it hard to take in, especially on his first day in office.
SGC's old nemesis Kinsey was his running mate and is now vice President, and Kinsey still wants to close down the SGC. The President learns that Kinsey, while head of the Senate Appropriations Committee, tried to shut down SGC. General Maynard also informs him how Kinsey later almost convinced the other nations of the world, during a full-disclosure meeting at the Pentagon (see season 6 Disclosure) to give him control of the Stargate program.
He agrees to a meeting with General Maynard and Kinsey's investigator, attorney Richard Woolsey (see season 7 Hereos), who has been brought in to present a case that Hammond and SG-1 need to be replaced.
We get lots of flash backs to various episodes that show things that SG1 have done. The president is impressed with what SGC and SG-1 have achieved and endured and ends the meeting. He's not stupid and realises there is more to Kinsey's insistence on a change of personnel than originally meets the eye.. He realises that some of the money Kinsey brought into his election campaign might have come from sources that were not totally legit ie the "shadow" NID.
Woolsey starts having doubts about Kinsey himself when he tells Kinsey he's worried the President will side with Hammond and SG-1 and Kinsey tells him it doesn't matter. "Things happen," he says insidiously, implying that - even if it involves making someone "disappear" - he will get his way.
Later, a shaken and troubled Woolsey confesses to Maynard his own grave concerns about Kinsey. Maynard encourages Woolsey to find hard proof of any perfidy. This makes Woolsey go to General Hammond as he reasons that Hammond - who unexpectedly resigned from Stargate Command at one point and then returned - was blackmailed by Kinsey, and is only back because he has proof of Kinsey's involvement with the shadow NID.
When Woolsey visits Hammond at SGC he tell shim that, while Hammond might not like him, he is trying to be honest and truthful. Hammond takes a risk and gives him a copy of the disc of files Jack and Maybourne took from Kinsey's computer (see season 4 Chain Reaction <../Episodes/series4.html>) which links Kinsey to the shadow NID.
Woolsey takes the disc directly to the non-committal President, hoping that, one day, history will show he tried to do the right thing.
The President does nothing about it initially and tells Maynard that politically he needs to have civilians in charge of the SGC as when it comes out, and it will come out, about the SGC he needs to have a friendly, non military leader in charge.

721(153). The Lost City, Part 1 -- It starts off with Jack shaving and trying to do a crossword, he gets a call to go into the SGC, he arrives late as he's trying to do the crossword and beat Sam - despite arriving late he fails. As Daniel says "The fate of the world hangs in the balance and you sit in your car for an hour doing a crossword" Jack: "Your point?"
SG-2 has discovered a planet with one of the Ancient devices that download stuff into your brain (see season 3 The Fifth Race. Daniel proposes bringing back the device to the base for study to see if they can get their hands on the location for the Lost City. Unfortunately, SG2 also saw one of the new Goa'uld remote scanning devices (see season 7 Hereos) so they know they don't have long before Anubis, or some of his troops, turn up.
When they get on the planet the forces arrive early and they can't remove the device, they already know they can't get hold of Thor or any other alien friendlies, so they are on their own, Jack still decides to let it download into his brain though, knowing if it can't be removed he will die but hoping they find the location of the Lost City first!
Meanwhile the President has made his decision and relieves General Hammond of his command and appoints Dr. Elizabeth Weir, a brilliant and world famous political negotiator (who also speaks 5 languages), in control of the project.
She's not a big fan of the military at all, and was shocked to learn of the Stargate's existence. Kinsey tells her about it initially and expects her to relieve SG-1 of their roles and to let his NID run it. The President tells her it is her command, she is to be the non military friendly face of the project..
When SG-1 get back Jack knows he has a few days before the memories kick in and so decides to take a few days off to get his affairs in order before his brain goes haywire from the download. On the planet, Anubis is not happy to have missed his chance of getting the information and kills the failed Jaffa.
Sam, Daniel and Teal'c drop by at Jacks and spend some time with him, then Hammond arrives and tells them he's been relieved of Command. Hammond knows President Heyes and is to go to Washington and will see if he can do anything about Jack's situation.
Dr. Weir is given a few months to revamp the operations, and Daniel makes sure she knows Jacks situation. Then Bra'tac arrives as a bearer of even more bad news: a very annoyed Anubis is getting his whole fleet together and is headed toward Earth.
She has a meeting with SG-1, Bra'tac and Kinsey when they tell her the situation, Kinsey wants to turn it to his own end but finds that when he tries to bully Weir she has a mind of her own, and won't be bullied, Kinsey goes off making threats such as "You don't know who you're dealing with!" Jack starts talking Ancient at the meeting, the overload of his brain is starting!
Hammond visits the White House in Washington to see the President, who's a friend from years ago but the President has another assignment in mind for him, one that could be even more important than commanding the SGC, to keep an eye on things that happen at SGC from Washington.
Teal'c goes with Bra'tac to see if they an round up any troops to help defend Earth, he says a sad farewell to Jack. (Part 1 of 2).

722(154). The Lost City, Part 2 -- Jack is doing another crossword, this one gives Ancient words as answers (however Sam points out that he has answered the clue "celestial body" with the answer Uma Thurman!). Despite this Daniel works out that the answers Jack has put down are the dial code for another world. The world is one they cannot dial into, so they have to hope that Teal'c and Bra'tac have found a ship as they can't use Prometheus, as it's Earths only real defense.
Anubis's sends 3 ships which arrive in orbit around Earth. Kinsey is all for using the Prometheus straight away but Hammond recommends waiting as he figures Anubis is testing us to see if Earth has the Ancient weapon, cos if we did we would do nothing knowing we could destroy more than 3 ships with no problem. The President agrees and that means that SG1 have more time to go to finish their mission.
Teal'c and Bra'tac have found a Jaffa, Ronan, who has a ship he will lend them , so long as he pilots it, so they go back to Earth to pick up SG-1. Jack has packed loads of equipment, although he doesn't know why!
They travel to the world (Jack altering the drive so it goes faster) and when they get there it is a planet that is dying and very hot, but Jack shows them where to go and they ring into a bubble of stone which is protecting a room.
Inside the room Jack uses the Ancient's equipment to show them that the Lost World is really on Earth, but they have come there to get a power source.
They tell Bra'tac (who is on the ship with Ronan) to ring them up but then Ronan shows his hand as an agent of Anubis and stabs Bra'tac. Despite this Bra'tac kills Ronan and rings up SG-1, but he is badly injured, however Jack heals him as this time around he has also got the Ancient's healing power.
Meanwhile, Anubis attacks a fleet and destroys them, but Earth does nothing (the President has told UK, France, Canada, China and Russia of the attack). Anubis is also taking out all the power grids and communication satellites. He then appears in the President's Office, but President Heyes won't back down, so then the rest of Anubis's fleet arrives, 35 ships! The Prometheus is launched, with Hammond as commander. Kinsey leaves to got to the Alpha site, but the President won't go.
When Kinsey gets to SGC the power goes and Weir insists the iris is closed manually, just in time as Anubis dials the gate and sends a bomb through, Kinsey is livid and wants to leave. When Weir won't listen to him he tells her she is finished.
SG-1 arrive in orbit and head straight for the Antarctic where they use a modified ring device (Jack modified it) to ring through all the ice. While it's burning through though the President send the Prometheus to protect them from Anubis's fleet, against Kinsey's wishes, Kinsey protests but the President sacks him telling him he has enough on him to get him shot!
The Prometheus with Hammond in charge stand up to Anubis's fleet and get a right bashing, their shields are down but Hammond stays their, giving SG-1 enough time to ring into the cavern they have opened up. (Sgt Davis is on the ship too).
Down there they find another room like the one the found on the other world, Jack uses the new power source to activate it.
All the Prometheus's weapons and shields are gone so he orders the Prometheus to ram Anubis's ship.
Meantime Anubis appears in the chamber as a hologram, Jack can no longer speak but he just walks through him and goes to the command chair. Some of Anubis's super warriors ring down and Sam, Daniel and Teal'c are fighting them. Jack charges up the weapon, some sort of energy beam, and kills the warriors, the beam then goes up into space destroying all of Anubis's fleet as it goes. Hammond pulls back just in time and the Prometheus is saved, as is Earth!
Jack is in a bad way though, Sam is distraught, Daniel realises Jack wants to go into this chamber, Teal'c takes him there, and then Jack goes into suspended animation. They realise that they have not found the lost city, it's too small, just an outpost of it so they still don't know how to cure Jack, they need to find the Lost City! (Part 2 of 2.)

Season 8

Season 8 -- SG-1 becomes the second longest-running science fiction drama on American television - exceeding every Star Trek series and second only to The X-Files.

801(155). New Order (Part One) -- SG-1 goes in search of the Asgard to try and save Colonel O'Neill, but discover that the Asgard's most deadly enemy has returned with a vengeance. The System Lords seek an alliance with Earth against a common enemy.
Watch for a Japanese goa'uld (the sun goddess Amaterasu) to make her appearance. The Japanese founding myths are collected in a volume known as the Kojiki. The stories tell of the formation of the Japanese islands and the founding of human society. One of the most important stories in this set of tales is the story of the Sun Goddess who is still the most important deity in Japan.

802(156). New Order (Part Two) -- Earth considers an alliance with the Goa'uld against a common enemy, and Stargate Command will never be the same. Dr. Weir and Daniel Jackson negotiate with untrustworthy adversaries who wish to unite against a common enemy. Carter is taken prisoner when she and Teal'c attempt to contact the Asgard, whom they hope can save the cryogenically frozen O'Neill.

803(157). Lockdown -- Jack O'Neill just can't get a break - Russians, bugs and the Goa'uld conspire to make his new job as general at the SGC a major headache. SG1 is now a three-person team, and O'Neill intends to keep it that way. When the highly decorated Russian Colonel DIMITRI KARPOV sees Jack about the job, Jack gives the man the brush-off. Nobody is joining SG1. Adios, don't let the door hit your butt on the way out, etc, that kind of welcome. When Daniel goes to soothe the Russian's ruffled feather over the brusque treatment, he discovers the Russian is deathly ill with some kind of contagion. This will soon lead to a lockdown of the base (hence the title) as the new female base physician, DR. SMITH tells O'Neill that Dimitri is perhaps carrying a contagion. Meanwhile, Daniel goes off-world. Somewhere along the way he's shot and is brought back to Earth, where the medical situation is getting critical.

804(158). Zero Hour -- Jack O'Neill takes command of the SGC in his first few days as general and is faced by every catastrophe imaginable. General O'Neill has gained an administrative aide as well as a command, in the form of Gilmor who was assigned to O'Neill by the departing General Hammond and has a little difficulty adjusting to O'Neill being...O'Neill. Aside from incarcerated aliens, menu choices and bunting crises, O'Neill - and Gilmor - have to deal with a missing SG-1, who are seemingly hostages of Ba'al, and a highly unorthodox prisoner exchange.

805(159). Icon -- An accident leaves Daniel Jackson stranded on another planet, apparently without the rest of the team. There he meets a woman named Leda, and stays at her farmhouse. While the world is not quite as technologically advanced as Earth, Daniel does find a radio, which he uses to try and contact Stargate Command, hoping that the Stargate is active when he is trying. Daniel holds a bit of regret over coming to this world, as the team's arrival apparently sparks a violent conflict between two nations. Leda tries to reassure him that it was only a matter of time before the distrust between Caledonia and her country led to this conflict. One of those behind the fighting may be Soren, a man who leads a segment of the planet's population who still worship the Goa'uld as gods -- though the Goa'uld have apparently not been to this world in recent memory.

Meanwhile Teal'c and SG-12 travel to the planet where a whole Sodan village is exterminated by its own hero Volnek, who was turned evil by a prior as a punishment for their 'disrespect' to the Ori - and find he sabotaged the portal (Eye of the gods) they need to get back.

919(193). Crusade -- As a result of a communication technology simulation Sam didn't even expect to work, Vala is able to possess Daniel's body long enough to tell how she awoke on an Ori-devoted planet, where she married the kind native Tomin when realizing she was pregnant although she couldn't imagine how or by whom, but found out a prior healed his old crippling wound so he could be conscripted to a huge army the Ori were preparing, while building a large fleet, for a crusade against the unbelievers. Meanwhile on earth, the Russians announce they won't prolong the treaty to lend the Stargate to the US, but start their own program, but general Landry guesses right that's only to press another demand... 920(194). Camelot -- Since the weapon Merlin once devised against ascended beings seems the human race's best change to resist or even defeat the Ori, SG-1 travels by stargate to a medieval society in a place called Camelot where the local Arthur epic (differerent from earth's romanticized traditions) confirms its location should be found in a forbidden library guarded by a Black knight. When they are beamed up to earth's super-star-ships about to try stopping the Ori-fleet passing a super-gate, Daniel and colonel Mitchell decide to have themselves beamed back inside the library, but on neither front things go as expected...

1011(205). The Quest: Part 2 -- The team hadn't counted on a real dragon as guardian, till one flies there breathing fire- however Daniel thinks it's a hologram, and the Sangrale probably isn't a real object either- meanwhile it follows them outside. Ba'al admits not to know its secret name, while Daniel believes that probably holds power over it; while they guess, Cam thinks of luring the dragon to blow it up, but the explosion barely impresses its digestion; Daniel makes it disappear by Morgan LeFay's name in Ancient. They find it guarded the frozen 'grave' of the realm's arch-magician 'Myrrdin', but Vala accidentally triggers a mechanism which revives Merlin, but also transports the whole room to another planet. Merlin seems to confuse them with Arthurian characters, but once convinced they are on the same side triggers a mechanism to transport them to still another planet, alas again without a working Stargate exit, and dies at his mind-connected device, wishing them good luck and referring to one last task. Ba'al's programming skills now seem their only chance. Daniel tries the device himself but is knocked unconscious. Then Adria's search for them -each time a bit quicker, one planet behind them- is visible on the stargate dial, Merlin's corpse disappears and they are again transported to another planet. Daniel awakes with valuable memories from Merlin, and tries to construct the Sangrale-weapon using the device again in exhaustingly intense phases and finds it also gives him magical powers. Before he can finish the work, which damages his mind, Sam and Ba'al repair the device and escape, just while Adria's Jaffa troops arrive, but she captures Daniel...

1012(206). Line in the Sand -- When an entire people may suffer the fatal wrath of an Ori prior for not converting, general Landry orders Carter to try out an experimental device based on Merlin's technology to transport their whole village. The test works, but before they can activate it on sufficiently large scale, an Ori force takes the village, wounds Sam and kill villagers near the stargate before Valas eyes, commanded by her husband Tomin, who captures her but says not to love her, he was ordered as punishment for being deceived by her to reeducate her. Sam and Cam activate the only still working part, so their building is cloaked for the Ori, who threaten the village leaders and discover and arrest Teal'c. Even after the remaining villagers bow in submission, the Prior decides to destroy everyone as he couldn't find Sam, which makes Tomin doubt his faith, inform Vala and confront the Prior. The villagers want to sacrifice Teal'c, but one leader stops them. Having seen the prior destroy the village, Tomin sends Vala down, where she sees if Carter managed just in time to get the device working...

1013(207). The Road Not Taken -- After an experiment to increase the rage of Merlins device goes badly wrong, Sam has an accident which transport her to a parallel universe, where SG-1 has a very different composition and history was changed by a failed attack by one Ori-ship, and a whole fleet expected soon. She insists to abandon the -killed- parallel Carter's line of work and pursue her earthly work to hide the entire parallel earth; it works, even when the Ori fire at their position nobody is hurt. The parallel Hank Landry is president, and has imposed permanent martial law since three years. The more Carter learns about the perversion of civil liberties, the more she shifts her efforts, even when rewarded by a post as presidential defense adviser, to restoring them, but thus incurs the active wrath of those in power and eager to remain so. Time to get back, but how?

1014(208). The Shroud -- Daniel Jackson, who was left behind fighting off Adria while the other SG1-members escaped trough the Stargate, is found working as a prior, and the best in the business, who doesn't need any threats to talk people into conversion to Origin. Hoping there is still some of his personality left, the team plus general Jack O'Neill kidnap him; he explains how he temporarily has Merlin's personality and knowledge in himself, and willingly let Adria turn him into a prior, while delaying to finish Merlin's weapon she wants, hoping to get an Ori-ship to get it for earth's side, but is running out of time as they took unexpectedly long to capture him. Still the generals, Carter and Vala are most reluctant to go along with releasing him and opening the wormhole he needs to bring the weapon over, the White House even wants to kill him, or at best keep him in stasis until he is genetically reverted to his human nature by Merlins genetic manipulation, but then his plan is wasted- unless the others can be trained to do it in his place, so only they are at risk, not the entire galaxy in case Daniel is Adria's Trojan horse. After giving them the necessary information, Daniel suddenly frees himself while Richard Woolsey is with him and takes control of a space ship after beaming up Jack too, just after the others have undertaken their mission to Adria's lair, where Daniel, about to be genetically reverted, arrives just in time to tip the balance in favor of ...

1015(209). Bounty -- SG-1 blows up three transport ships in a row; Netan puts a price on their heads. General Landry grants the team members spare time on earth- Daniel spends it researching in a library, where he meets a bounty hunter who tries to seduce him, then switches to her handgun but is taken out be a bus. Sam gives a lecture on Airforce technological progress together with Dr. Bill Lee; a sniper nearly misses but is taken out with an experimental weapon they brought to demonstrate. Teal'c is injured by surprise at a Jaffa camp and successfully traps the killer to try again. Cam goes to his Kansas high school reunion and Vala succeeds in making him tag her along, pretending to be his accountant and partner; his still sexy former flame he believed out of his reach Amy Vandenberg is initially scared off by Vala but divorced and interested, exchanging she also had a secret crush on him; alien bounty hunter Odai Ventrell assumes classmates' appearances to kill him- Vala's failed rescue gets them both captured publicly, so he threatens to kill off reunion guests unless the other SG-1 members take their place, but they trick him using Chimera technology; they hope Netans failure to eliminate them will rekindle the powers struggle and Odai reacts surprisingly.

1016(300). Bad Guys -- SG-1 realizes they have stepped through the gate into another planet's museum -- but are mistaken for a band of zealous rebels who have taken hostages.

1017(301). Talion -- Teal'c and Bra'tac are among the numerous victims -though only wounded- of several bomb attacks killing 32 men at a summit in the Jaffa settlement Dar Eshkalon. As soon as physically able, he swears to revenge them personally, suspecting the honor-less, ambitious warrior Arkad; general Landry refuses to sanction a killing mission without solid proof, but cannot stop Teal'c going alone. Bra'tac explains to Daniel Arkad's sinister past, probably even murdering Teal'c mother. Information from resistance on another planet indicates Arkad is in league with the Ori and a plan to attack earth. Arkad comes meet general Landry, offering to help defend earth against the Ori and denies any part in the bombings, while defending Origin and blames a Jaffa sect. SG-1 is now ordered to find and stop at all cost Teal'c, who is using torture, but Teal'c is ready to fight even them if necessary to kill Arkad, reaches his place but is wounded, captured, made to duel and kills Arkad after he confirmed having killed to revenge the death of his own parents.

1018(302). Family Ties -- Stargate's HQ gets a video message from Vala's most unreliable father Jacek on the planet Robak- he claims to know about the late Arkad's plans to attack and blow up earth, even several naquadah-loaded cargo ships in an invisible orbit, and offers details in exchange for sanctuary. General Landry asks Dr. Carolyn Lam to help him resume contact with her mother Kim, his ex. Even after the cargoes are found and blown up, Vala abhors her dad's entry; the general asks her to go easy on him, realizing he too neglected his daughter because of his career, even if Jacek's was just criminal. When Cam and Daniel go tell Jacek he shouldn't scam people he tricks them into talking to Vala for him. Vala goes over just for 'katharsis': telling him she's trough picking up the pieces of his tricks, and he certainly keeps scamming- as Daniel finds even with Terak, a Jaffa from an escaped cargo, hoping to sell the naquadah; when they are apprehended, Jacek promises to help track it and override the rigging of the cargo ship. The Ja'fa wait for Jacek and Vala, intending to eliminate them now Tera'k is gone, but SG-1 saves them; as there never was an override, he cheerfully flies away in the cargo, without Vala, ignoring his treachery was anticipated, it's a decoy...

1019(303). Dominion -- Vala gambles, wins a cargo ship, but is found cheating; then Adria appears, throws everyone out and claims she has a new Ori fleet and an operational intergalactic gate. Vala tells her scary daughter how she helped Daniel, after a dream, reading the mysterious clava thessara-symbol's mystery, which lead to a single planet address, where Athena's treasure house must be; after a disastrous visit there, the team refused to follow the next interpretation, fearing it's a just trap set up by Adria, so Vala was declared a security risk, grounded and confined to area 51, but escaped trough the stargate. Adria takes her along as she hears the team still plans to visit the address, by starship. At arrival, they are trapped by SG-1, which however finds itself surrounded by lord Ba'al's troops, which ring-beam up Adria to an electro-magnetic cage in his starship. Back on earth, general Landry worries what the two could do together and wants Adria back. Daniel and Sam now show Vala she has been implanted by Galaran technology with fake recollections of her entire adventure till the meeting with Adria. Even though she claims that's impossible, Ba'al is confident he can take control over Adria's loyal Ori troops trough her- by implanting a symbiont. The team finds Ba'al's Jaffa and clones killed by symbiont poison, except one Jaffa who secretly used tretonin. The team ring-beams from the cloaked Odyssey starship into Ba'al's, shoots him and capture Adria, but back on earth, she is found under control of his symbiont. Instead of just killing the evil double, they contact the Tok'ra which send Ta'Seem to extract the symbiont and replace it with a Tok'ra one, but Ba'al manages to poison Adria, who has to be put down. Suddenly Adria wakes up, uses mind-power barricading herself in the sick-bay with Vala, tells she needs time to prepare for ascension, as Daniel guesses outside, and succeeds before the team can cut their way in by blow-torch. Nobody knows what this will mean for the future, especially as it remains uncertain whether the Ori are still alive, if not she may have gained all their former powers, and Ba'al still had at least one clone...

1020(304). Unending -- The SERIES Finally! -- General Landry accompanies SG-1 on the Odyssey to planet Orilla, to meet the Asgard high council, the majority of which feels obliged to give the starship the ultimate upgrades and pass on to the human 'fifth race' its entire knowledge and civilization because their ancient race is facing extinction from a genetic disease they feel has gone so far it's time for collective euthanasia. Then three Ori ship attack and the planet explodes- the Asgard energy weapons must be tried out, untested, and work. Two Ori mother-ships have followed even after a hyper-drive jump; Carter thinks they may be tracking the new systems, but they cannot be turned off without suspending all ship systems- they do it yet, but should they beam down to a stargate planet and loose all technology as the ship self-destructs during an Ori attack? There is a grim fight, but the fatal Ori energy burst is stopped when Carter creates a time bubble which delays it by years, hoping to master the Asgard technology before their three months survival supplies run out. After two weeks, her tree only known options prove unacceptable, she only found ways to manufacture additional supplies, which buys them much more time. When Daniel philisophizes grimly about the end of the superior Asgards by a single error and Vala wants to get physical, he calls her the least fit mate. Passtimes loose their charm as time goes by. After twenty years, Landry dies; after fifty Carter finds how to reverse time locally, but their energy source is depleted too far by then- Cam suggests using the very Ori beam which approaches them; it can only work if automated to kick in after they are dead, hopefully only for milliseconds, but one of them must remain old as the others will loose the indispensable memories to do better in repeated time- Teal'c is chosen. It works; Teal'c refuses to tell them anything, fearing to upset time.

Additional Information:

The Stargate -- The Stargate is a round portal that can instantaneously transport an object from one point in space to another by generating an artificial wormhole. A wormhole is created between any two Stargates when one Stargate dials the address of another Stargate.

The 39 Symbols -- The inner dial of the gate turns like the bevel of a watch. There are 39 symbols on the dial. When the dial is turned to seven of the symbols in a certain order (like a combination lock) it activates the gate between Earth and the planet to which that combination correlates. The combinations, as set up by the creators of the gate, correspond to the points needed to vector a location in three dimensional space where the planet resides. The last symbol, which is unique to each Stargate, is always the point of origin.

The 9 Chevrons. -- Although the gate has nine chevrons, typically only seven of these are used when dialing from a gate. In the episode The Fifth Race, an eighth chevron was activated (thanks to the Asgard) and Carter noted, "The extra chevron must add a new distance calculation to the existing points, like a different area code." So far, the eighth chevron has been used only once (on the Earth Stargate), and the purpose or function of the ninth chevron is still unknown.

Gate travel -- Gate travel is one way. A person cannot go through the gate, leave it open, and then step back through it. The gate has to be stopped and then restarted from the opposite planet in order to travel back to the other end. The only thing thing that can travel two ways through the gate are radio waves (which the M.A.L.P. transmits back to Earth).

Naquada -- The Stargate is made of a quartzite metal Naquada, which is not found on earth. Naquada is found on the planet in the movie (Abydos) as well as several others that the gate leads to. The metal is the only known element that absorbs (and energizes with) neutrinos. Somehow, when energized with neutrinos, the gate forms a stable artificial worm-hole with another gate. It will not react with any other substance -- radiation, particle bombardment, fire, pressure, etc.

Who Made the Stargate? -- No one knows who made the Stargate. It was originally believed that the Goa'uld had constructed the Stargate network. Daniel Jackson theorizes that a race of aliens impersonating the Norse gods constructed the Stargates. The true origins of the Stargate are still unknown.

The Iris -- The Air Force learns by Daniel Jackson's example on Abydos, and by the actions of the ancient Egyptians, that if the Gate is buried under a strong, substantial substance, it blocks the path of anyone or anything attempting to pass through it. Therefore, the Air Force built a giant iris which closes very quickly over the gate. The iris is so close to the event horizon (less than 10 micrometers) that it won't allow anything to rematerialize on our side. Therefore it will block anything from coming through the gate uninvited. If someone tries to come through the gate with the iris closed, their molecules would not have a chance to rematerialize (they cease to exist).

G.D.O. Transmitters -- The SG teams carry a small transmitter capable of sending a coded signal through the gate, notifying the SGC which team would like the gate opened. This device is called a G.D.O. Once the signal is sent (from the G.D.O.) it is safe to pass through the Stargate. The iris is then closed behind the travelers immediately upon their arrival on Earth.

Auto-Destruct -- As a second line of defense, if an unknown traveler is inbound, a base auto-destruct countdown begins. If not terminated by a ranking officer, a nuclear blast will detonate inside the mountain.

"SG" Teams -- The "SG" designation denotes that the team is a part of the Stargate program, while the number following the Stargate designation is to distinguish between separate Stargate teams. Certain teams have special duties within the Stargate program. Listed below are all special designation teams noted thus far in the series:
  • SG-3 - Marine combat unit, lead by Colonel Makepeace.
  • SG-5 - Marine combat unit.
  • SG-7 - Scientific Corp.
  • SG-8 - Medical team. This team typically will travel accompanied by SG-3 during medical emergencies.
  • SG-9 - Diplomatic Corp., led by attorney Major Stan Kovachek.
  • SG-11 - Engineering Corp.

    Aliens:

Goa'uld -- A parasitic race of snake like creatures who inhabit hosts. They submerge the personalities of their hosts, in fact they would have you believe that "nothing of the host survives", but Sg-1 have proved that is not true. SG-1 have recently discovered the Goa'uld's home planet which is also inhabited by Unas, who were the first hosts of the Goa'uld until they started decreasing in numbers and Goa'ulds discovered that humans were better, as they were easier to "repair" using the sarcophagus. When the Goa'uld discovered Earth millennia ago, they started transporting people through the Stargate to become either slaves, hosts or Jaffa. The Goa'uld System Lords ruled in the guise of "gods" and many are still alive today. The
Goa'uld parasite controls its host by wrapping itself around the spine and controlling the nervous system. It is because larva Goa'uld possess the genetic memory of the their race that two Goa'ulds are not permitted to mate through their hosts. The Goa'uld are feudal with the most powerful ones usually becoming System Lords, but as Teal'c puts it "The System Lords occasionally band together to defend themselves from such outside threats as The Asgard and The Reetou, but they still battle amongst themselves for control of their individual domains". There are dozens of System Lords but thousands of Goa'uld. Goa'uld live very long lives and use the sarcophagus technology to extend this even more. They need to change hosts about every 400 years
if they don't use a sarcophagus. Although they use the Stargate (which they discovered but did not invent - that was The Ancients) they also have powerful spaceships capable of great destruction and heavily defended (although SG-1 has managed to blow 1 or 2 up!).

Jaffa -- When the Goa'uld took many of Earth's population through the Stargate many millennia ago some became Jaffa. Jaffa are the warriors and "incubators" of the Goa'uld - they have special stomach pouches where larval Goa'uld are kept and protected and nourished. There is a strong symiotic relationship although the Jaffa can't communicate with the larva, it acts as and replaces the Jaffa's immune system giving them extended life and enhanced healing powers, however, that means the Jaffa can't survive for more than a few hours without it. Jaffa get an immature larva when they are 8 years old and they carry the infant Goa'uld for about 7 years in a special stomach pouch which protects the larva while nourishing it. When it leaves and seeks a host and they then carry another. The larval Goa'uld doesn't control them the stomach pouch keeps it separate from the Jaffa, unlike adult Goa'uld who take a host and wrap around their spinal cord.

Apophis -- Serpent God of the night in Egyptian mythology, he was Ra's rival. He is/was one of the Goa'uld System Lords (see Goa'uld), he wants to be top dog and gets together an army to take over leadership, so far he's failed but he keeps trying - so the other System Lords keep kicking him out! He seems to be SG-1 nemesis - no matter how many times they think they're rid of him he keeps coming back. Teal'c was his First Prime and so Apophis now hates Teal'c. He took Daniel's wife, Sha're to be the host of his queen Ammaunet, Jack's friend Skaara to be host to his son Klorel and has attacked Earth and SG-1 loads of time. [Peter Williams is the Jamaican born actor who plays him (very well) and he originally auditioned for the part of Teal'c but because of his physically resemblance to Jaye Davidson who played Ra in the film it was decided to cast him as Ra's rival Apophis.]

Asgard -- Small grey "Roswell" aliens. SG-1 first encountered them in Season 1 episode Thor's Hammer. They were members of The Alliance. The Goa'uld are wary of them as they are very technologically advanced but, unfortunately, they have another, what they consider more serious, enemy called Replicators. They have a Protected Planets Treaty in place with the Goa'uld and have added Earth to this, which offers some protection from the System Lords. The Asgard travel by means of spaceships (and actually had a very advanced one called The O'Neill - which made Jack very proud! until Sam blew it up) and have matter transporters to "beam" down to planets, rather than using a Stargate. They have a liking and respect for Jack.

Nox -- These were one of the original 4 races of the Alliance but when SG-1 first encounter them they think they are a simple, fairy like folk who need their help defending themselves from the Goa'uld (The Nox). However, once the Nox have brought back SG-1 from death they start to realize that they are not as helpless as they thought, just pacifists who would rather hide than fight. They can control things on a molecular level and can make things invisible, and revive the dead in The Ritual of Life ceremony, and they have huge floating cities - which they keep invisible. They are in alliance with Earth but only help in a non-aggressive way.

Tok'ra -- A movement started by a single Queen Goa'uld who was killed by the System Lords for opposing them, but not before she, literally, spawned the Tok'ra movement. Tok'ra means "against Ra", and are the Goa'uld resistance who aim to destroy the System Lords and change the Goa'uld ways. They don't take hosts by force preferring to have willing hosts and a truly symbiotic relationship with them, where neither is in total control and each benefits from the relationship. They share knowledge and feelings and the human host have the benefit of the symbiots healing power, giving them long life. Tok'ra don't use sarcophagus as they know it destroys their conscience and their "soul". The Goa'uld hate them and they have to keep a low profile and work undercover as they are relatively few in number. They have an Alliance with Earth and offer help and advise when they can (or it suits them!).

Oannes -- In Fire and Water Daniel is captured by Nem, an amphibian creature who wanted to know what happened to his mate Omoroca who had gone to Earth to help fight the Goa'uld threat - problem was it all happened in the Babylonian era and Daniel couldn't remember what he'd learnt. The Oannes can alter, enhance and implant memories though and Daniel eventually remembered a legend about her and how she was killed by a Goa'uld.

Tollan -- SG-1 rescued some people from a planet that had suffered a cataclysm, and helped relocate them to a new world (Engima). The Tollan are much more advanced than Earth technologically but after suffering after they gave another race technological advances they are not prepared to do so again. They are willing to help Earth in other ways, and frequently do (Shades of Grey). They are in alliance with Earth.

Unas -- First seen in Thor's Hammer, these are among the first hosts for the Go'uald, they possess great strength and regenerative abilities (these are enhanced even further by the symbiote). Later in series 4 (The First Ones) Daniel befriends an Unas (Chaka), in which you learn that they evolved on the same planet as the Goa'uld's and have developed primitive defenses, a necklace of bones to try to ward of the Go'uald infestation via the neck.

Replicators -- These are the Asgard Nemesis. The Asgard discovered them on a planet and took them on board their ships before they realized that how much of a threat they were. The Replicators creators are apparently dead, wiped out by the Replicators. They have an individual consciousness but work as a group and they all have a single purpose - self-replication. They assimilate knowledge from computer systems and technology they gain access to, and use any materials to hand to replicate themselves and quickly become a plague with knowledge more advanced than the planet or people they are attacking as they learn from whatever they assimilate and build on it. There knowledge increases with each new technology they assimilate. They have
nearly overrun the Asgards homeworld and many colonies but with a bit of help from Sam (Small Victories) this hasn't happened yet, but they are still such a threat to the Asgard that they have to spend most of their time and resources fighting them instead of the Goa'uld.

Ba'al -- Ba'al is a Goa'uld based on the Ba'al of Phoenician mythology. First introduced in Season 5 as one of the major Goa'uld System Lords, he becomes one of the show's major antagonists from Season 8 on. With the Ori having replaced the Goa'uld as the show's primary antagonists, Ba'al is the last remaining major Goa'uld character on the series. He is also the longest-running villain in Stargate history.

Ori -- The Ori influence the mortal plane through commanding Priors, mortals they evolved and enhanced with supernatural powers. The Priors spread and enforce a religion called Origin. Followers of the religion are promised Ascension (a promise later learned to be false), and unknowingly augment the power of the Ori through the act of worship. They begin to make incursions into the Milky Way, with the ultimate goal of converting all sentient species and destroying the Ancients.

Orici (Adria) -- In Season 10, Adria, the daughter of Vala, is born and ages rapidly. She is the Orici, leader of Ori forces in the Milky Way. SG-1 continues the search for Merlin's anti-ascended-being weapon, the Sangraal (Holy Grail). However, they must now contend with Ba'al and his clones, who are attempting to find and use the weapon for their own purposes.

    Trivia:
    • With its 10 seasons, ending in 2007, this became the longest running consecutively airing sci-fi series in the U.S., taking the title from X-Files, which ran for 9 years, ending in 2002. The only other sci-fi series that has run longer than it is the UK’s Dr Who.
    • It was originally planned to end the series after seven seasons and make a feature film which would be the show's finale. But the show's ratings on the Sci-Fi led to it being renewed for an eight season and the film turned into the seventh season two-parter "The Lost City".
    • Peter DeLuise has directed a number of episodes (56 episodes, 1999-2007), finding a way to appear in front of the camera each time (a la Alfred Hitchcock). He has played a gate guard, a technician, and even a younger, more handsome version of a character played by his father, Dom DeLuise.
    • Peter DeLuise tries to work the name "Penhall" into every script he directs. This was the last name of his character from "21 Jump Street" (1987). In episode 7.7, "Enemy Mine", A Colonel calls out to two soldiers; Hanson and Penhall. Hanson was the name of Johnny Depp's character.
    • The character Jonas Quinn is from the country Kelowna on the planet Langara. Langara is a golf course where some of the producers and directors go to play golf. Kelowna is a town near Vancouver, BC, where the show is filmed.
    • Christopher Judge (Teal'c) has only appeared without his character's trademark gold emblem in three episodes: "The Gamekeeper", "2010" and "The Changeling."
    • In several episodes Carter can be seen using a scanning device that is in actuality an unaltered Philips "Pronto" universal remote control. The half moon shaped section at the top is the infra-red emitter.
    • The prop used to portray the device which controls the Tok'ra memory recall device which looks like a "wand" is actually an electric nose hair trimmer and is used unaltered.
    • The on-set stargate prop is made out of plastic.
    • Alexis Cruz (Skaara) and Erick Avari (Kasuf) are the only actors to appear in both Stargate (1994) and this television series.
    • Certain concepts of stargate travel were phased out over the course of the first season, such as the travelers feeling extremely cold and arriving with frost on their faces. Also the concept of the travelers unable to keep their balance and always tumbling out of the stargate (unless, of course, they tumbled into the stargate to begin with). This was explained within the show as a result of more precise dialing of the Earth Stargate, and oftentimes these effects are brought back when the wormhole is disturbed during transit.
    • The "Tollan Homeworld" shows were shot at Simon Fraser University.
    • Apophis was a real Egyptian god, despite many fans' difficulty in finding any information on him. "Apophis" is an obscure Greek name for Apep, the Egyptian god of darkness and night. The native names of Egyptian deities are not widely known except to Egyptologists because most Egyptian mythology was brought to the Western world by the Greeks, who altered Egyptian words and names to conform to Greek phonology. For example, the name of Bast, the cat-god, was probably pronounced something like "Pasht".
    • The Asgard are voiced by creative staff, cast and crew of the show. Thor is voiced by Michael Shanks, Heimdall is voiced by Teryl Rothery and both Loki and new Asgard Kvasir are voiced by Peter DeLuise.
    • Richard Dean Anderson, Michael Shanks, Amanda Tapping, Christopher Judge, Don S. Davis, Gary Jones and Dan Shea are the only actors to appear in all ten seasons.
