User Comment: MicheBel Chicago, IL • Just saw this movie again recently. I had forgotten how steamy the attraction was between the great Barbara Stanwyck and Fred McMurray. That ankle bracelet....When he grabs her and kisses her,
there's just nothing like it. And this movie, like all good noir, puts you in the steamy heat of Los Angeles.
Great script! The ultimate noir, IMHO.
Summary: Simmering Sex Appeal
Woody Allen considers this to be the greatest movie ever made.
